This is a taster session for up to 8 participants. There is no practice during the session or preparation needed by the participants.

Option 2: Presenting with Impact
1-day workshop for 10 participants (face-to-face or virtual)
This is an 0930 to 1700 course, with a very short lunch break. Participants are asked to prepare a 7-minute presentation including visual aids prior to the workshop.

Participants will be fully apprised on how to deliver presentations using themselves (vocal, verbal and visual aspects), visual aids, how to structure, making a strong beginning, keeping engagement throughout and a strong end, as well as ensuring a concise high impact presentation. There will be two chances to deliver out-loud – the original presentation, and a 90-second edit. Both are appraised by the facilitator, other participants and by video.
Option 3: Presenting with Impact
Two-day course for up to 8 participants (face-to-face or virtual)
This is an 0930 to 16:30 course. Participants are asked to prepare a 10-minute presentation which will be delivered with feedback, they are then asked to edit that down to 90 seconds, to ensure conciseness, and participants finish the workshop by delivering again a 10 minute version of their original presentation, having edited the content, the visual aids and incorporating the structure and delivery styles discussed on the course.

Participants will learn about and practice all the skills and knowledge needed to present with impact, including a strong beginning, middle and end, how to handle nerves, ensure only relevant content is included, using the voice to have a different impact throughout and develop a story or other spice to engage the audience. This option includes 3 practices, the third being the finished product!
